The Bidders For the IPL-2011 Franchisee were
1. Sahara Group
2. Adani Group3. Videocon Group
4. Rendezvous Sports World
5. Aman Vohra- PUNE : Sahara Group (Near Rs 1700 Crores)
- KOCHI : Rendezvous Sports World (Near Rs 1500 Crores )
RULES:
OLD Players Retaining Policy :
- Maximum of Any FOUR players in a Team can be retained.
- Out of Retained players,MAXIMUM 3 can be INDIAN.
- Sub-Quote for Foreign Players has not been mentioned still.
- Retaining Expensive players will reduce the spending cap to $4.5 Million.
IPL-2011 Auction Price Budget:
- The Total Expenditure till IPL-2010 Team's Auction was restricted to $6 Million in purchasing the players,but the margin is lifted to $8 Million this Season.
- Sunil Gavaksar and his Governing Council has proposed that the highest salary of Individual as $2 million.
- This will mean that the players like Sachin Tendulkar and MS Dhoni will be expected to get $2 million or around.
